By default, the character is a chicken that must cross a series of busy roads, rivers, and active train tracks, but there are hundreds of other characters, and depending on the character the environment around also changes, with the obstacles varying. The objective of Crossy Road is to move a character through an endless path of static and moving obstacles as far as possible without dying. It was developed and published by Australian video game developer Hipster Whale, with the name and concept of the game playing on the age-old joke/ anti-joke " Why did the chicken cross the road?" The game has also been described as endless runner version of Frogger. The eyes are level with the beak and about 1/4 of the way in.Crossy Road is an arcade video game released on 20 November 2014. I then finished with the eyes using a black permanent marker pen. When this was dry I used super glue for the cock comb and beak, plus PVA for the legs. Once I had all my parts ready I primed and painted using acrylic. I drilled into the chicken body part to sink the legs in like a dowel. counter sunk into the feet and rounded the top half into a dowel (Each leg approx 8 cm) showing only 3.5 cm. The feet were cut out using 12mm MDF, its basically a capable A, (see images). I started with the body, using an offcut of MDF which was 3x 18mm glued together from an old project (total MDF block 5.5 cm). I didn't have any measurements for this when I made it, I just winged it, (pun intended). I used scrap wood for this project, mostly MDF. Here's how I made a wooden chicken from the popular mobile game Crossy Road.
